GHIDINI LIGHTING, result from the merge of two historical Italian lighting companies, Ghidini and Lucitalia, offers a complete range of internal and external lighting fixtures. Since each brand managed its own catalog and properties denomination, it was hard for the new company to align and standardize product information across brands. Like any other lighting company, GHIDINI was also concerned about single product information that is disseminated across the company, requiring a lot of efforts to consolidate in order to generate a detailed product datasheet or a catalog.
BUSINESS OBJECTIVES
In order to sort out the current situation, GHIDINI LIGHTING set the following project objectives:
- Implementation of one global database that centralizes products from both brands/catalogs,
- Standardization of properties and values for both brands,
- Advanced users profiling to limit access to the catalogs,
- Utilization of the final database for online and offline product information sharing.
HOW WE DID IT
Coperon analyzed the two catalogs' structures and submitted a unified data model for validation. Existing properties and values were reviewed, cleaned and unified. Automatic procedures populated the database required for the implementation of the new GHIDINI LIGHTING product information management system, Coperon iPartner. The database, once imported, was reviewed and completed when required, by Coperon content team.
Specific functionalities were provided to simplify and assist the users in their daily update: content copy from one product to another, automated graphical material (images, icons…) naming and linking with products, advanced users access restriction to products information …
Coperon product information management system, iPartner, was deployed locally and interfaced with GHIDINI LIGHTING ERP system. Once validated, information is published on GHIDINI LIGHTING corporate website while structured product information can be locally generated on demand for the generation of the products' labels, for specific reporting needs or else.

GRUPO MCI, founded in 1972 in Barcelona, is an international leading engineering and manufacturer company of integral architectural lighting solutions for indoor and outdoor lighting applications. MCI Light is one of GRUPO MCI brands that provides a new lighting experience to customers, offering a wide range of indoor and outdoor lighting products, many of can be customized to fit specific applications. What We Did:GRUPO MCI selected Coperon Technologies for its ability in providing online catalog solutions, capable of managing the multitude of configurations MCI Lights propose and for its proven record in supporting companies from the lighting industry. Based on a design provided by GRUPO MCI, Coperon deployed its Content Management System for the editing of the website corporate pages.
For the online
catalog and product configurator, Coperon’s product information management system handled the specificities of the different products families. Rules were set to assist in the product code configuration, options selections, the final generation of a product code and its related product data sheet. Coperon content team handled the enrichment, in Spanish and English, of the website pages and products catalog.
The Outcome:The deployment of the product code configurator simplified GRUPO MCI need to showcase the large number of possibilities its product lines can offer. Specific generation of products data sheets answered the expectations of GRUPO MCI professional partners, such as lighting designers, architects, engineers…; it provided them with custom designed fixtures to fit their particular applications.

Nada Ghazal creates timeless fine jewelry with an edge, handcrafted in gold and adorned with precious and semi-precious gems. Each jewel echoes a different sense of emotion, celebrating what it means to be a woman.
To showcase her products to clients worldwide and expand her market reach, Nada Ghazal was convinced that e-commerce represents the most appropriate channel to share her creations. However, Nada Ghazal was confronted with the challenge of communicating online the same experience her clients feel when visiting her points of sale.
In close collaboration with its graphic designer and Nada’s guidance, Coperon developed the eCommerce platform, to include all the creations, while recreating a meaningful user experience for clients to shop easily.
Nada Ghazal’s marketing team was trained on the usage of the content management solution, required for the update of the eCommerce platform and tracking of the online sales.
Collaboration did not stop there since this was more considered as a first experience, several brain-storming sessions led to the launch of the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) activity with a social media consultation. A global digital strategy was set, implemented and monitored by Coperon to ensure the best representation of Nada Ghazal’s online.
